Most cocoa farmers earn less than $2 a day. Rasad exists to raise farmer incomes and push poverty out of the supply chain.
The problem

Across West Africa, cocoa-farming households commonly live on less than $2 a day — below the global poverty line. The crop sells for billions worldwide. The money does not reach the farm gate.
Farmers face thin harvests, tired soils, few buyers close to home and little power over price. Poverty in the supply chain is not a slogan. It is a set of causes, and each one can be worked on.
Our mission
Raise farmer incomes. Eradicate poverty in the supply chain.
Rasad works at origin, where income is decided. Every part of the operation aims at one outcome: the farmer keeps more of what cocoa is worth.
Buy close to home
Licensed buying agents and local hubs cut the distance between the farm gate and the first fair weight.
Train for yield
Field training in pruning, pest control and farm management helps a farmer get more from the same land.
Put inputs in farmers' hands
Fertiliser, sprayers, boots and protective equipment supplied directly, not sold back to the farmer at a markup.
Map every farm
30,000+ hectares mapped, with more to come. Known farms can prove origin, keep access to demanding buyers and hold value at origin.
