Five hundred farmers, two days, four subjects

Over two days across Ayetoro and Imeko, Rasad trained 500 cocoa farmers. Sessions covered EUDR compliance, sustainable farming practice, traceability and farm mapping, and waste upcycling in cocoa production.

Farmers received field inputs on the same days — protective boots, sprayers and other items — along with certificates of completion. Farms were mapped during the programme so that follow-up support could be directed to specific plots.

The 500 form part of more than 2,000 farmers trained to date, drawn from a buying network of over 5,000. Of those trained, 60% have seen yields rise by up to 20%, with income to match.

The programme was delivered with Sahel Capital through the SEFAA technical assistance facility, the ARA Foundation, and implementation partner MSME Growth and Support Lab.
